No departure plans for Costa

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has made it clear that he has no intentions of leaving Stamford Bridge to return to Atletico Madrid. 

Costa was linked with a potential move back to the Vicente Calderon Stadium during the recent transfer window as he was allegedly struggling to adapt to life in London.

However, the 26-year-old has rubbished talks of a La Liga return and added that his old club have not even made him an offer. 

"How am I supposed to go back to Atletico if no one's made me an offer," the striker told Onda Cero.

Meanwhile, Costa has his sights set on helping Chelsea defeat Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday so that the reigning Premier League champions can turn their fortunes around following a lacklustre start to the season.

Chelsea has only won one out of the five Premier League games they have played this season and subsequently sit two points above the relegation zone in 17th. But, should they beat Arsenal on Saturday, Costa believes that the Blues will receive a much-needed boost in confidence. 

"There's nothing better than a game against Arsenal to win and fix this situation," Costa told The Daily Express. "If we win then we'll take a step forward in terms of confidence and points; we know about the importance of the game.
